Meet the Team – Gemma Bond

A bit about me…

I’m married with two teenage children – I have a son and a daughter who is 12 going on 18! I also have a gorgeous ginger cat, called Diego.

I love to travel and our last holiday was to Gran Canaria, which means I’ve now been to all the Canary Islands with Fuerteventura being my absolute favourite. We’re looking to go to Canada next year to visit family based in Ontario, so we’re hoping we get to visit Niagara Falls whilst we’re out there – which would be amazing.

What was I doing before Intaso?

I’ve had a very varied array of jobs in my career. I have worked in industries from relocation to furniture companies.

I fell into my first accounts role, which was in credit control and where I stayed until a few years ago. I’ve been in accounts for about 12 years now – I did my Level 2 AAT Accounting qualification about 2 years ago before Covid hit, and am planning to do my Level 3 soon!

How did I come to be at Intaso?

I wasn’t actually looking for a new role at the time, as I’d only been in my previous job about a year. However, when Ryan approached me about the role here, it sounded really interesting. At the time, I was wanting something a bit more challenging and varied. There were a lot of really great benefits as well!

It seemed like a really interesting new challenge, and when I met Ryan and Sam for the first time they were really approachable, very friendly and relaxed, which gave me a good feel for what life at Intaso was going to be like.

The kind of roles I typically work on/enjoy working on…

As someone who is not part of the recruitment side of the business, it’s so nice to have Sam as another team member who doesn’t do recruitment. I enjoy doing the administrative tasks to keep the business ticking over, and I don’t think I would personally enjoy being a recruitment consultant.

Something people might not know about me is…

A lot of people probably don’t know that I was a travel agent for a few years, and started out in the travel industry! I love everything to do with travel from booking the holiday to being in the airport, and most of all flying.

If I was trapped on a desert island with one meal, one album and one movie, they would be…

Meal: Burger and chips!

Album: Either my drum and bass playlists, or my Sing-A-Long playlist as I love singing

Movie: Legally Blonde, I love Reese Witherspoon
