Meet the Team – Jamie Weekes

A graphic showing one of the Intaso team, Jamie, and a quote about his time working at Intaso.

A bit about me…

I joined the staffing industry straight out of University, it is all I know, having spent the last 9 years delivering Executive mandates and building high-performing teams.

I recently became a dad to my little girl called Phoebe; she’s just turned one and likes to keep me up at night. My favourite city is Tel Aviv. I am fortunate to spend a lot of time here with work, as it’s one of the global cyber security hubs.

I am very active when not working. I love Skiing, trying to play Golf but that isn’t going so well, playing Squash and watching Rugby.

What was I doing before Intaso?

Like most, I fell into recruitment initially, not really knowing what it was. I haven’t looked back, it’s allowed me to travel, work with people and help solve genuine business problems.

I worked with Ryan, our MD previously, and we often spoke about the idea of a one stop shop for cyber security during our lunch breaks. Eventually the idea became a reality and I decided lifes too short, why not! It was great to join pre-revenue and build the business.

How did I come to be at Intaso?

Ryan left our previous company first, I followed 8 weeks later and we began working out of our bedrooms. Then we hit the big leagues and moved into a two-man office, with no windows… I don’t know where the last 2 and a half years have gone! We now have windows in our office and an international business.

The kind of roles I typically work on/enjoy working on…

  • Senior Go-To-Market (GTM)
  • Chief Revenue Officer

I spend most of my time networking with VC Partners and building trusted relationships to better support their entire portfolio. Personally, I still deliver C-suit / VP appointments.

Something people might not know about me is…

I am an open book, I think I can share too much at times… having a young family I have a great excuse to watch Disney films again, I love them. Moana is my personal favourite, Phoebe is more of a Frozen girl.

If I was trapped on a desert island with one meal, one album and one movie, they would be…

Meal: An English Sunday roast

Movie: Top Gun (the new one!)

Music: I’m a podcast guy! Anything on self development I’m really into – Steven Bartlett- Diary of a CEO.
